Most of you know I am planning my wedding by now. I have actually found a dress and it happens to be nothing like what I thought I wanted. But I thought I’d share some gorgeousness that I found during my search.
No idea where this is from. This is what I had my heart set on, but unfortunately I couldn’t find anywhere open minded enough to stock a dress like this plus I doubt it would have looked quite as good on me!
Gorgeous From Percy Handmade on Etsy
From J.Crew – If they shipped to the UK, I’d be in serious trouble right now!
So, we’ve all been doing some DIY crafty stuff preparing for my Niece’s 5th birthday party. She is having a jungle theme and her Mum has gathered lots of bits and pieces and they have acquired a cargo net, lots of potted plants, and have made a Geep out of card. I offered to paint some large animals to go with them and I am pretty pleased with them so far (glossing over the slight mishap of using water based black pen to do the lines and then wanting to paint over them). Hopefully I’ll get some glorious photos of lovely children running around in monkey masks but for the time being I leave you with this..
I just wanted to draw your attention to the amazing blogs on the left hand side. Some of these are friends and others are amazing design blogs which continue to be a daily inspiration to me. Check them out!
So, I am starting again with this blog which will be a mixture of personal posts that will be password protected, and posts about lovely stuff I’ve found on some of the design blogs I read. I won’t mind giving some of you the password, so do feel free to ask. I may not be able to give it to some people though.
So, we are getting the flat sorted and I’ve been scouring design blogs for stylish and quirky ideas for decoration etc. Hopefully I’ll be showcasing some of this stuff on here. Most of this stuff is from The States which causes a few issues with customs and postage costs but I can’t resist sometimes. Lately my two US purchases are some penguin vases by Joanna Mendicino
These are now atop my fireplace in my bedroom and look fabulous.
Secondly, tonight BF put up my prints which were lovingly shipped over by Rifle Paper Co check them out. Gorgeous things and very reasonable prices!
Also just wanted to share my own creation which now belongs to my Nephew. It took so long to make but he’s so photogenic that I’m definitely planning to make another one for myself soon!
Well… Here is my first post. I feel it is a long time coming but the fresh new White blog has become quite intimidating and I have been unable to start. My previous blog was very much me and it was years of work, writing and styling to make it mine. This is all very new. I will make it mine though, over time.
So this is all I am going to say to start off. A bit like breaking up the white of a fresh new canvas.
